GLM-standardised lobster vessel CPUE at Tristan
A GLM method is described which is used to standardise the vessel CPUE data at Tristan. The vessel CPUE provides a more optimistic indication of stock status than the powerboat CPUE for the last three seasons. The 2018-2019 vessel GLM 2020 values are slightly above the Jtar target CPUE value, whereas the 2018-2019 powerboat GLM values are slightly ...

The Powerboat CPUE series for Tristan was last updated in 2019 (MARAM/Tristan/2019/MAY/05) and took data for the 1994-20181 seasons into account. This GLM incorporated a method whereby the full GLM for Tristan can be rescaled to take into account the overall fishing efficiency changes as informed by the data on fishermen’s names (available for the 2005-

Updated GLMM- and GLM-standardised lobster CPUE from the Tristan da Cunha group of islands.
The longline CPUE series for Inaccessible and Gough islands are GLMM standardised through to 2011. For Nightingale, the standardisation it to 2010 only, as the fishery was closed for the 2011 season1. Year, month, area, trap-type, soak time, depth and year-area interactions are treated as fixed effects, and year-month interactions treated as a random ...

Updated 2014 GLMM- and GLM-standardised lobster CPUE from the Tristan da Cunha group of islands.
The longline CPUE series for Inaccessible and Gough islands are GLMM standardised through to 20131. For Nightingale, the standardisation remains to 2010 only, as the fishery was closed for the 2011 season and catches have been set at precautionary levels for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Updated 2015 GLMM- and GLM-standardised lobster CPUE from the Tristan da Cunha group of islands.
The longline CPUE series for Inaccessible and Gough islands are GLMM standardised through to 20141. For Nightingale, the fishery was closed for the 2011 season and catches were set at precautionary levels for the 2012 and 2013. The GLMM model thus excludes 2011 and 2012, although it now includes 2013 and 2014 for this island.

Variants of GLM-standardised lobster CPUE for Tristan da Cunha for the 1997-2009 period.
Powerboat CPUE data for Tristan island are more limited (in terms of the associated data collected that might provide co-variates for a GLM-standardisation exercise) than the longline CPUE data for the outer three islands. Thus for the four GLM variants applied here to the Tristan powerboat CPUE data, only year and month have been used as fixed effect ...
