Boundedness and Global Stability of a Nonlinear Congestion Control With Delays

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2006
This note concerns the global dynamics of a "dual" nonlinear congestion control with time-delays. It has been shown that such control laws are able to maintain local dynamic stability around their unique equilibrium point for networks of arbitrary delay, capacity and topology.

Global Boundedness of an Alarm–Taxis System With Nonlinear Diffusion

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences
ABSTRACTIn this paper, we study an alarm–taxis system with nonlinear diffusion  . We consider this problem in a bounded domain   with Neumann boundary conditions. By the complex coupling energy estimates based on the Neumann semigroup smoothing properties, we establish the existence of globally bounded weak solutions for any  .

Global boundedness of the solutions to a Gurtin-MacCamy system

NoDEA : Nonlinear Differential Equations and Applications, 2002
This paper is concerned with the analysis of a generalized Gurtin-MacCamy model describing the evolution of an age-structured population. The problem of global boundedness is studied. Namely we ask whether there are simple general assumptions that one can make on the vital rates in order to have boundedness of the solution. Next a fully implicit finite

Global Existence and Boundedness of Solutions to the Extensible Beam Equation

SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1982
The theory of semigroups of linear operators and the recently developed theory of cosine operators is used to provide a variation of parameters representation of solutions to the equation governing the transverse motion of an extensible beam and to insure $L^2 $ boundedness of these solutions.

Global boundedness of solutions to a reaction-diffusion system

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 1999
Summary: We obtain the global boundedness of solutions to a Fujita-type reaction-diffusion system of the type \[ u_t- d_1\Delta u= b_1 u^{p_1} v^{q_1},\quad v_t- d_2\Delta v= b_2 u^{p_2} v^{q_2},\quad (x,t)\in\Omega\times \mathbb{R}_+. \] This global boundedness results from diffusion effect, homogeneous Dirichlet boundary value conditions and ...

Liapunov functions and boundedness and global existence of solutions

Applicable Analysis, 1972
In this paper the properties of a Liapunov function and its derivatives are combined in obtaining sufficient conditions for the boundedness and global existence of solutions of the system of differential equations x=f(t,x) (1) where f: [0,∞)XRn→ Rn is continuous.
