Supraparticles Composed of Graphitic Carbon Nitride Nanoparticles and Silica‐Supported Horseradish Peroxidase as Customizable Hybrid Catalysts for Photo‐Biocatalytic Cascade Reactions in Continuous Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein presented supraparticles combine the nanoparticulate photocatalyst graphitic carbon nitride with the enzyme horseradish peroxidase, which is immobilized on silica nanoparticles. In an optimized compatibility range, both catalysts operate effectively within the hybrid supraparticles and catalyze a cascade reaction consisting of the photocatalytic

Complex Cryptographic and User‐Centric Physically Unclonable Functions Enabled by Strain‐Sensitive Nanocrystals via Selective Ligand Exchange

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates electromechanical PUFs that improve on traditional electric PUFs. The electron transport materials are coated randomly through selective ligand exchange. It produces multiple keys and a key with motion dependent on percolation and strain, and approaches almost ideal inter‐ and intra‐hamming distances.

Molecular gas content of galaxies in the Hydra-Centaurus supercluster [PDF]

open access: yes
A survey of bright spiral galaxies in the Hydra-Centaurus supercluster for the CO(1-0) transition at 115 GHz was performed with the 15m Swedish-ESO submillimeter telescope (SEST). A total of 30 galaxies have been detected in the CO(1-0) transition out of

Tailoring the Properties of Functional Materials With N‐Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The properties of materials bearing N‐oxide groups are often dominated by the polar N+─O− bond. It provides hydrophilicity, selective ion‐binding, electric conductivity, or antifouling properties. Many of the underlying mechanisms have only recently been discovered, and the interest in N‐oxide materials is rapidly growing.

Studies of thermal wave phenomena on the Jovian planets [PDF]

open access: yes
Ground-based and Voyager observations of Jupiter provided evidence that the tropospheric temperature shows global-scale longitudinal variations which are often wavelike in character.
