Performance of rolling shutter and global shutter camera in optical camera communications

2015 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2015
Optical Camera Communication (OCC) is considered as an extension of IEEE 802.15.7 specification by same communication channel. Different with another technique, Optical Camera Communication used image sensor for receiver, so the characteristic of image sensor will effect on the operation and performance.

Unified Video Reconstruction for Rolling Shutter and Global Shutter Cameras

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing
Currently, the general domain of video reconstruction (VR) is fragmented into different shutters spanning global shutter and rolling shutter cameras. Despite rapid progress in the state-of-the-art, existing methods overwhelmingly follow shutter-specific paradigms and cannot conceptually generalize to other shutter types, hindering the uniformity of VR ...

A New Global Shutter 8T CIS Architecture with CDS Operation

Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing, 2018
CMOS image sensor (CIS) is heart of neoteric imaging system. Global shutter image sensor is more popular. In global shutter image sensor, each pixel has inbuilt storage capacity, by which it is possible to capture whole image at a time. Hence, it used for high-quality and motion blur-free imaging.

Rolling Shutter Effect Compensation with Global Waves Analysis

2015 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Big Data, 2015
CMOS camera expose different portions of the frame at different points in time, resulting in the so-called rolling shutter effect that bright and dark region of striation moving in the movie vertically. In this paper, we propose an image processing technique using global wave analysis and develop a general compensation algorithm to handle this problem.

A 100dB dynamic range CMOS image sensor with global shutter

2006 13th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2006
A 100 dB dynamic range global shutter CMOS image sensor implementing an innovative fixed pattern noise (FPN) reduction method is presented. This image sensor uses global shutter pixel architecture in order to avoid distortion in imaging fast moving objects. To limit shutter leakage, a new PMOS pixel architecture is implemented.
