Exploiting Sentence Embedding for Medical Question Answering
Despite the great success of word embedding, sentence embedding remains a not-well-solved problem. In this paper, we present a supervised learning framework to exploit sentence embedding for the medical question answering task.

Timing for treatment of HCV recurrence after liver transplantation: the earlier the better. [PDF]
HCV is the leading cause of death from liver disease and is the most common indication for a liver transplantation. Although HCV is a widespread health problem, disease management is particularly challenging in several key subpopulations, including liver

Neonatal Acute Kidney Injury—An Australian and New Zealand Perspective
ABSTRACT Acute kidney injury (AKI) is increasingly recognized as a critical and underdiagnosed condition among neonates, with significant short and long‐term implications for survival, kidney function, and long‐term cardiovascular health. Neonatal physiology, including ongoing nephrogenesis, immature renal haemodynamics, and limited glomerular ...

Clinical implications of imlifidase interference in antibody screening and transfusion management
Abstract Background Imlifidase has received conditional approval from the EMA for desensitizing deceased donor kidney transplant recipients. It works by cleaving IgG into F(ab′)2 and Fc fragments, thereby reducing the risk of antibody‐mediated rejection. However, its impact on diagnostic assays remains understudied. Case Report We present the case of a

Abstract IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is a common type of primary glomerulonephritis in children. The pathogenesis of childhood IgAN remains unclear, and there is a lack of effective non‐invasive biomarkers for this disease. Single‐cell RNA sequencing was performed in children with IgAN to delineate cellular and molecular compositions, and subcluster ...

Compartment‐Specific Immune Remodeling of Renal Aging With C1q‐Associated Podocyte Activation
Aging repatterns the renal immune response in a compartment‐specific manner, distinct from chronic kidney disease (CKD) adaptation. Glomerular aging features C1q‐associated podocyte activation and macrophage engagement, whereas tubulointerstitial aging is marked by B‐cell aggregation and tertiary lymphoid structure expansion.
