Improvement of Micronutrient Uptake of Valuable Broadleaves in Interaction With Glomus mosseae
Geomicrobiology Journal, 1999Excessive exploitation by humans has in the last century depleted valuable broadleaf trees in Italian forests, and reforestation is desirable. The present work evaluated the impact of a vescicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungus on growth and on micronutrient accumulation by the plant-hosts.

The effect of xyloglucan on spore germination, hyphal length and mycorrhizal colonization of alfalfa plants was studied. The presence of high concentrations of xyloglucan in the rooting medium inhibited mycorrhizal colonization in plants inoculated with Glomus mosseae.

Effects of Glomus mosseae on the toxicity of heavy metals to Vicia faba.
Journal of environmental sciences (China), 2007A glasshouse pot experiment was conducted to investigate effects of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Glomus mosseae on the growth of Vicia faba and toxicity induced by heavy metals (HMs) (Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd) in a field soil contaminated by a mixture of these metals. There was also uninoculation treatment (NM) simultaneously. Mycorrhizal (GM) plants hav

Molecular identification of glomus mosseae from wheat rhizosphere in Damghan region, Iran
2012Arbuscular mycorrhizas (AM) have mutualistic symbiosis with plants and thus efforts have been placed on application of these symbiotic relationships to agricultural and environmental fields. In this study, soil and root samples were collected from 40 sites of wheat rhizospheres in Damghan region located in central parts of Iran.
