[Stress on development of glossalgia and validation of treatment].

Study of psychoemotional and neurological status of 58 patients with glossalgia showed that stress plays the leading role in development of this abnormality. Neurophysiological analysis of electroencephalograms of patients with glossalgia revealed pronounced generalized restructuring of rhythmic activity of the brain.

[Urinary excretion of vanilmandelic acid in the glossalgia syndrome].

Under observation there were 78 patients aged 41 to 70 years suffering from the glossalgia syndrome, as well as 25 clinically healthy subjects. An activation of the sympathoadrenal system was revealed in the patients. This was ascertained on the basis of the data on vanillylmandelic acid excretion with the urine.

The case of clinical supervision of the patient having polimorbid pathology is presented. One of extraesophageal manifestations of a gastroesophageal reflux disease is the glossalgia. Glossalgia is the polyetiological disease. Treatment needs to be carried out taking into account the factors causing emergence of a glossalgia.
