Glow and pseudo-glow discharges in a surface discharge generator
Chinese Physics, 2005The glow discharge in flowing argon at one atmospheric pressure is realized in a surface discharge generator. The discharge current presents one peak per half-cycle of the applied voltage. The duration of the discharge pulse is more than 1μs when the frequency of the applied voltage is 60kHz.

Pectin modification assisted by nitrogen glow discharge plasma.
International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2018This study is concerned with modification of high methoxy pectin (HMP) assisted by nitrogen AC glow discharge plasma. Intrinsic viscosity of plasma treated pectin (PTP) was measured as primary index for structural changes in pectin molecules at different

Tin Production in a Glow Discharge
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1997We have been studying direct current glow discharges aiming at the production of different paint of coatings on steel substrates. In a set of preliminary experiments, long lasting (hours) discharges performed in a Nitrogen atmosphere between a stell anode (holding the substrates) and a titanium cathode separated by a small gap (few mm) produced very ...

Conditioning of asdex by glow discharge
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1980Abstract Based on previous experience with conditioning of vessels for plasma experiments by a dc glow discharge, a very simple, safe, and effective technique was developed for ASDEX. It is characterized by a low working pressure of 5 × 10 −3 mb of H 2 at which no violent arcing or damaging parasitic discharges occur and it ...

Glow discharge mass spectrometry
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2004Over the past twenty years or so, glow discharge mass spectrometry (GDMS) has become the industry standard for the analysis of trace elements in metals and semiconductors. A review of its history is followed by a picture of the present situation and a look to where the future may lie.

Oxidation of glow discharge a-Si:H
Solid-State Electronics, 1982Abstract The optical constants of glow discharge hydrogenated amorphous silicon have been determined by ellipsometry measurements. From their evolution during exposure to air the growth of the oxide layer on amorphous silicon at room temperature has been evaluated.

Glow discharge polymerization—II. The structure of glow discharge polymers
European Polymer Journal, 1971Abstract Polymers have been prepared from a group of halogenated monomers in a radio frequency glow discharge using controlled conditions. The structures of the polymers have been determined by infra-red spectroscopy and chemical analysis. The polymers are cross-linked aliphatic materials which are partially degraded with respect to the related ...
