The role of magnetic energy on plasma localization during the glow discharge under reduced pressure
In this work, we present the first results of our research on the synergy of fields, electric and magnetic, in the initiation and development of glow discharge under reduced pressure.

Two-dimensional simulation of an Ar/H2 direct-current discharge plasma
We created a two-dimensional, mathematical fluid model of a plasma in a spherical direct-current (DC) glow-discharge chamber based on the finite-element method (FEM) using the commercial FEM solver COMSOL Multiphysics. The model is based on the Boltzmann

In glow discharge mass spectrometry (GDMS) and glow discharge optical emission spectrometry (GDOES), variations in the signal intensities against the discharge parameters: current, voltage and the pressure of plasma gas, are compared to clarify their excitation/ionization processes responsible to each signal.

Period doubling in glow discharges: local versus global differential conductivity [PDF]
Short planar glow discharges coupled to a resistive layer exhibit a wealth of spontaneous spatio-temporal patterns. Several authors have suggested effective reaction-diffusion-models to explore similarities with other pattern forming systems.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Radial structure of low pressure rf capacitive discharges [PDF]
This paper studies the glow intensity distribution of the discharge plasma against the tube radius and reports the radial profiles of electron temperature and plasma concentration in the rf capacitive discharge registered with a Langmuir probe.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
