Map data are widely used in mobile services, but most maps might not be complete. Updating the map automatically is an important problem because road networks are frequently changed with the development of the city. This paper studies the problem of recovering missing road segments via GPS trajectories, especially low sampled data.

Fibrin glue is a topical biological adhesive, the effect of which imitates the final stages of coagulation. The glue consists of a solution of concentrated human fibrinogen which is activated by the addition of bovine thrombin and calcium chloride. The resultant clot aids haemostasis and tissue sealing and is completely absorbed during wound healing ...

Using clusters in MANETs is common in routing and content delivery situations. The increase use of smartphones able to peer-to-peer communication, justifies cluster algorithms adapted to this kind of devices use cases. In a tourist mobility scenario, group behaviour is expected.

Abstract:Three young men are described in whom a severe, subacute, predominantly motor peripheral neuropathy resulted from the deliberate inhalation of glue vapour. Weakness began after several years of daily glue sniffing and was marked in proximal as well as distal muscles. Muscle wasting was prominent at the time of presentation.

Progressive sensorimotor neuropathy developed in two patients exposed to prolonged (chronic) inhalation of n-hexane (glue sniffing). Sural nerve biopsies showed loss of axons; remaining axons were either normal or showed accumulation of filaments of 90 to 100 A thick, widened nodes of Ranvier, and focal enlargements.

Although industrial exposure to n-hexane is known to cause neuropathy, it is less well recognized that inhalation of n-hexane present in the vapors of some commercial contact cements is also neurotoxic to peripheral nerves. A young man with a long history of addictive glue-sniffing developed severe distal symmetrical polyneuropathy several months after

Experimental glueing of injured spleen by collagen glue
Clinical Materials, 1990This paper discusses the suitability of collagen adhesive for the treatment of a ruptured spleen, and presents a preliminary study on 20 Sprague Dawley rats. Results indicate that this system should be further investigated for clinical applications.

Although biological glues have been used clinically in cardiovascular operations, there are no comprehensive comparative studies to help clinicians select one glue over another. In this study we determined the efficacy in controlling suture line and surface bleeding and the biophysical properties of cryoprecipitate glue, two-component fibrin sealant ...
