Meson Mass Decomposition [PDF]
Hadron masses can be decomposed as a sum of components which are defined through hadronic matrix elements of QCD operators. The components consist of the quark mass term, the quark energy term, the glue energy term and the trace anomaly term.

A water-resistant high bonding strength non-isocyanate polyurethane-modified-starch wood adhesive
To address the health and environmental hazards posed by toxic substances, such as isocyanates, in traditional polyurethane adhesive raw materials, this study synthesized a non-isocyanate polyurethane prepolymer (NIPU) by reacting diethylenetriamine ...

On the relevance of matter and glue dynamics for baryon number fluctuations
We investigate the impact of the matter and glue dynamics on baryon number fluctuations and the kurtosis of baryon number distribution. This is done within the framework of QCD-improved low energy effective models.

Wet gum labelling of wine bottles [PDF]
It is shown that bubbling on wine bottle labels is due to absorption of water from the glue, with subsequent hygroscopic expansion. Contrary to popular belief, most of the glue's water must be lost to the atmosphere rather than to the paper.

A Lattice Study of Quark and Glue Momenta and Angular Momenta in the Nucleon [PDF]
We report a complete calculation of the quark and glue momenta and angular momenta in the proton. These include the quark contributions from both the connected and disconnected insertions.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Study of glued elements of model kits under atmospheric conditions and contact with molding mixtures
The quality of obtained castings directly depends on the model equipment and the materials used for its production. The properties of elements of model kits, made of plastic and joined using glue technology, are examined.

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.
