Quark and gluon relaxation in quark-gluon plasmas
Physical Review D, 1993The quasiparticle decay rates for quarks and gluons in quark-gluon plasmas are calculated by solving the kinetic equation. Introducing an infrared cutoff to allow for nonperturbative effects, we evaluate the quasiparticle lifetime at momenta greater than the inverse Debye screening length to leading order in the coupling constant.

Gluon polarization in quark-gluon elastic scattering
Physical Review D, 1982We present the result for the linear polarization of a gluon in quark-gluon elastic scattering at the one-loop level in perturbative quantum chromodynamics. This polarization, which is on the order of 10%, shows considerable variation with the scattering angle and can be used in principle to distinguish gluon jets from quark jets.
