Gluon-gluon Fusion (Chapter I.4)
2017We present here an update of developments since the publication of YR3. First, recent results on theinclusive cross-section are discussed, and we provide recommendations for the computation of its valueand uncertainty. Then, jet-binned cross sections are examined: we provide benchmarks for differentialtransverse-momentum distributions in the effective ...

MASSIVE GLUONS AND QUARK GLUON PLASMA SIGNATURES
International Journal of Modern Physics E, 1992The evolution of the physical picture of the quark gluon plasma from an ideal gas to a complicated interacting system is reviewed. Recent calculations of quark gluon plasma signatures are discussed which consider a nonvanishing in-medium gluon mass.

Gluon Condensation in Quark-Gluon Plasma
1985According to the generally accepted view, at high enough temperature or/and density a transition may take place from the hadronic phase of the matter into the quark-gluon plasma phase.1, 2 We hope that in high energy heavy-ion collisions there is a chance to reach that region of physical conditions where this phase transition is possible.

Abstract This chapter describes the description of the proton as a bound state of partons. After a review of the properties of parton distribution functions, it introduces the evidence for a component of the proton responsible for its binding.
