Ion Activation Methods for Top‐Down Proteomics
ABSTRACT Mass spectrometry (MS) has emerged as a premier method used to characterize the sequences of proteins. Top‐down proteomics aims to capture the multiple sources of structural diversity reflected in proteins, such as those that arise from alternative RNA splicing events or the addition of post‐translational modifications. Tandem MS (i.e., MS/MS)

Innate immunity shapes the persistent transmission of plant viruses by insect vectors
In this review, we focus on two key aspects of the virus–vector interplay: (1) persistently transmitted viruses utilize host factors to overcome transmission barriers; and (2) molecular recognition activates antiviral immunity and subsequent viral counter‐defense. Understanding these interactions offers critical insights for developing novel strategies

Proteomic Changes in Cancer Cell Lines as a Result of Bacterial Infection
ABSTRACT Bacterial infections have been implicated in shaping the tumor microenvironment (TME), but their effects on cancer cell proteomes remain unexplored. In this study, we analyzed proteomic changes in melanoma (A375) and ovarian cancer (OVCAR3) cell line models following infection with Staphylococcus aureus strain USA300 or Salmonella enterica ...

Studies on glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate dehydrogenase
The enzyme glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase E.G.1.2.1.12 has been prepared from rabbit muscle by ammonium sulphate fractionation. After four refractionations the levels of the contaminating enzymes α GDH & TP1 were found to be 25 parts and 1 part per million and contamination by myokinase was 3 parts per thousand.
