Physico-chemical evidence for the interaction between aldolase and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase.

open access: yes, 1978
Polarization of fluorescence measurements of aldolase and D-glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate have been used to detect the possible formation of a soluble complex between the proteins. The results suggest an

Cholesterol Laundry of Cell Membrane and Fatty Liver by Detergent Liposomes to Improve Anti‐Cancer Drug Responsiveness of Patient Liver Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cholesterol‐enriched plasma membranes in hepatocellular carcinoma impede drug penetration. Cholesterol (+)‐liposomes act as membrane‐specific detergents, extracting cholesterol and reducing barrier function without cytotoxicity. Following endocytosis, cholesterol transfers from endosomes to liposomes and is metabolized in the ER.

Impact of nitric oxide on macrophage glucose metabolism and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase activity

open access: yes, 1995
Conflicting evidence has been presented regarding the role of nitric oxide (NO) in the regulation of cellular glucose metabolism. While it enhances glucose uptake and utilization through glycolysis and the hexose monophosphate shunt in macrophages and ...

A Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas of the Ovine Rumen Microbiome Characterizes Lineage‐Specific Metabolic Shifts Associated with Host Heat Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

Quality Thresholds for Angiogenesis Under Acoustic Manipulation in Engineered Vascular Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Defined biological and physical quality thresholds achieved through acoustic manipulation regulate cellular alignment and spatial organization, promoting self‐assembling vasculature, extracellular matrix deposition, and angiogenic responses, thereby establishing critical acoustic patterning requirements for engineered vascular tissue development in ...

Synthesis of new pyrrolidine-based organocatalysts and study of their use in the asymmetric Michael addition of aldehydes to nitroolefins

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2017
New pyrrolidine-based organocatalysts with a bulky substituent at C2 were synthesized from chiral imines derived from (R)-glyceraldehyde acetonide by diastereoselective allylation followed by a sequential hydrozirconation/iodination reaction.

Coulomb Explosion Imaged Cryptochiral (R,R)-2,3-Dideuterooxirane: Unambiguous Access to the Absolute Configuration of (+)-Glyceraldehyde

open access: yes, 2014
The absolute configuration of (R,R)-2,3-dideuterooxirane, which has been independently determined using Coulomb explosion imaging, has been unambiguously chemically correlated with the stereochemical key reference (+)-glyceraldehyde.

Single‐Cell Profiling Identifies SLC2A5‐Mediated Fructose Metabolism as a Vulnerability in Primary CNS Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucose deprivation in the primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL) tumor microenvironment drives SLC2A5 (encoding GLUT5)‐dependent fructose metabolism in tumor cells, while hypoxia induces HIF‐mediated SLC2A5 expression in tumor‐supportive macrophages, revealing SLC2A5‐driven fructose utilization as a shared and targetable metabolic vulnerability across malignant

Leptin May Promote Eosinophilic CRSwNP Progression by Enhancing Eosinophil Chemotaxis and Angiogenesis Under a Type 2 Inflammatory Milieu

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp (CRSwNP) is a heterogeneous Type 2 inflammatory disease characterized by enhanced eosinophilic infiltration. Both innate and adaptive immunity are involved in the onset and progression of CRSwNP.
