Hydroxylation of acetic acid to glycolic acid in rabbits
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1968In a study of the metabolism of (4′-propionyl)-acetanilide it was observed that rabbits hydroxylate part of this compound to (4′-propionyl)-glycolanilide. This metabolite was found to be hdyrolyzed by microsomes as well as soluble fraction prepared from rabbit livers.
