Identification of Tyrosinase Inhibitors fromGlycyrrhiza uralensis
Planta Medica, 2005Tyrosinase is a key enzyme in the production of melanins. Phytochemical studies of a Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract were performed by measuring the tyrosinase and melanin synthesis inhibitory activity. Glycyrrhisoflavone and glyasperin C were identified as tyrosinase inhibitors for the first time.

Novosphingobium endophyticum sp. nov. isolated from roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis
Archives of Microbiology, 2015A novel Gram-staining-negative, non-motile, rod-shaped and aerobic bacterial strain, designated EGI 60015(T), was isolated from healthy roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis F. collected from Yili County, Xinjiang Province, Northwest China. The 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain EGI 60015(T) was found to show 97.6% sequence similarity with Novosphingobium ...

Flavonoid glycosides of the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis
Phytochemistry, 1985Abstract The structure of a flavanone glycoside from the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis has been confirmed as 4′-O-[β- d -apio- d -furanosyl-(1 → 2)-β- d -glucopyranosyl]liquiritigenin. In addition, two known flavonoid glucosides, ononin (a minor component) and liquiritin (a major component), were isolated from the same extract.

Macrophage immunomodulatory activity of polysaccharides isolated from Glycyrrhiza uralensis fish
International Immunopharmacology, 2008The objective of this study was to evaluate the immunomodulatory effects of the purified glycyrrhiza polysaccharides (GP) on the activity of macrophages. A purified fraction of water-soluble polysaccharides, with estimated molecular weight of 10 kDa, was isolated from Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fish using ion exchange and size exclusion chromatography.

Galactomannan from the seeds of Ural licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.)
Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology, 2010Galactomannans from the seeds of Ural licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.) obtained by hot water extraction of freshly ripened (GGu-1) and overwintered (GGu-2) seeds were studied. GGu-1 and GGu-2 (yield, 1.98 and 1.99% of the seed weight) had molecular weights of 1379 and 877 kDa, respectively; their solutions were characterized by high viscosity ...

Vasorelaxation effect of Glycyrrhizae uralensis through the endothelium-dependent Pathway
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2017Glycyrrhiza uralensis (G. uralensis) is one of the herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and serves as an envoy medicinal. Since G. uralensis plays a major role in the anti-hypertensive TCM formulae, we believe that G. uralensis might possess vasorelaxation activity. This study is designed to investigate the vasorelaxation effect of G ...
