Herbicide performance in the control of Conyza spp. where three plant heights

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2021
Intensive use of the herbicide glyphosate has led to herbicide resistant Conyza spp. populations. Thus, there is a need to indicate alternative herbicides and the appropriate developmental stage for controlling these populations.

Glyphosate Resistance in Sonchus oleraceus and Alternative Herbicide Options for Its Control in Southeast Australia [PDF]

open access: goldSustainability, 2020
Sonchus oleraceus is becoming a hard-to-control weed in Australian cropping systems, especially in glyphosate-tolerant cotton and during summer fallows. Several biotypes of this weed have developed resistance to glyphosate as a result of common management practices under conservation agriculture systems in the country.

Response of Asiatic dayflower (Commelina communis L.) to glyphosate and alternatives in soybean

open access: green, 2007
Greenhouse experiments were conducted to evaluate Asiatic dayflower ( Commelina communis L.) tolerance to glyphosate. Glyphosate rates and growth stages of Asiatic dayflower were evaluated. Shikimate accumulation in Asiatic dayflower, glyphosate resistant (GR) and non-GR maize and soybean cultivars was estimated.

Vineyard weed control using alternative methods compared to glyphosate-based herbicide

open access: diamondActa agriculturae Slovenica, 2021
In a two-year field experiment, six different weed control methods were studied. The methods were: use of the herbicide glyphosate (GL), use of herbicides based on acetic acid (AA), pelargonic acid (PA) and citrus essential oil (EO), mowing weeds with a thread trimmer (TT) and flaming of weeds with fire (FL).

Effectiveness of alternative herbicides on three Conyza species from Europe with and without glyphosate resistance [PDF]

open access: greenCrop Protection, 2018
Abstract Glyphosate has been applied in European countries for over a decade between rows in olive groves and grape vineyards to control Conyza species [hairy fleabane (C. bonariensis), horseweed (C. canadensis) and Sumatran fleabane (C. sumatrensis)], however poor control has been observed in recent years.

Alternative methods for detecting soybean seeds genetically modified for resistance to herbicide glyphosate [PDF]

open access: goldJournal of Seed Science, 2013
The objective of this study was to verify application of two methodologies: substrate moistened with herbicide solution (SM) and immersion of seeds in herbicide solution (IH) for detecting soybean seeds genetically modified. For this, non-transgenic and transgenic soybean seeds, harvested in the 2008/2009 crop seasons were used.

Resistance Evolution to EPSPS Inhibiting Herbicides in False Barley (Hordeum murinum) Harvested in Southern Spain

open access: yesAgronomy, 2020
A failure of the EPSPS-inhibiting herbicide glyphosate to control several populations of Hordeum murinum subsp. leporinum (or H. murinum) occurred in southern Spain after more than fifteen applications in both crop (olive, orchards, and citrus) and non ...
