Estrogen inhibition of LH and FSH secretion: effects of a GnRH antagonist

open access: yes, 1986
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels are not suppressed as rapidly or to the same degree as luteinizing hormone (LH) levels in ovariectomized rats treated with either gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist or estrogen.

Intramuscular pathways of maladaptation in overtraining syndrome

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend The transition from adaptive overreaching to maladaptive overtraining and mechanisms through which excessive training load can lead to performance decline. Four interconnected pathophysiological domains are highlighted: neural fatigue, involving both central and peripheral components such as altered sensory feedback and reflex ...

The contribution of His7.36(305) of the GnRH receptor to ligand binding and receptor activation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Bibliography: leaves 88-104.The current study was perfonned to give insights into the role of individual amino acid residues of both the GnRH receptor and the GnRH ligand in receptor function.

Comparison of the standard GnRH antagonist protocol and the luteal phase estradiol/GnRH antagonist priming protocol in poor ovarian responders

open access: yes, 2017
Background/aim: The aim of the study was to compare the luteal estradiol patch/GnRH antagonists priming protocol (LPP) with the standard GnRH antagonist protocol in poor ovarian responders (PORs) in terms of the outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF ...

From Association to Mechanism: Regulatory Annotation and Pathway Mapping of Genes Surrounding Breast Cancer Risk Variants

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Inherited factors account for a large share of breast cancer susceptibility, yet the biological consequences of most risk variants are still poorly understood. To address this gap, we studied 175 breast cancer risk variants confirmed by genome‐wide association studies and gathered the genes that lie near them.

Fixed versus flexible gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonist protocol in women with polycystic ovary syndrome undergoing in vitro fertilization: An RCT

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reproductive BioMedicine
Background: Despite the extensive use of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol in treating infertile women, particularly those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), there have not been sufficient evidence to compare the flexible ...

Self‐Assembly of Therapeutic Peptides for Enhanced Cancer Therapy: Strategies, Therapeutic Performance, and Future Perspectives

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 5, Issue 4, December 2026.
Therapeutic peptide self‐assembly is governed by multiple non‐covalent interactions, enabling the construction of diverse supramolecular structures. These self‐assembled systems can be engineered through spontaneous self‐assembly of monomers, co‐assembly, or stimulus‐responsive strategies to improve tumor delivery efficiency.

Comparison of Clinical, Metabolic, and Hormonal Profiles in Obese Versus Lean Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 6, November 2026.
This meta‐analysis of 42 studies, including 5363 women with PCOS, found that obesity was associated with more severe reproductive, androgenic, metabolic, and cardiometabolic abnormalities. Lean PCOS also carried substantial metabolic risk, supporting phenotype‐informed assessment and cardiometabolic screening regardless of BMI.

Microbial and Metabolic Correlates of Endometrial Dysfunction in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: A Translational Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 12, Page 2092-2102, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) exhibit a substantially increased risk of miscarriage, yet the underlying mechanisms remain inadequately understood. This study aimed to investigate whether specific gut microbial dysbiosis and metabolic disturbance are associated with and may potentially contribute to endometrial ...
