ATSC 3.0 implementation in GNU Radio Companion
2017 IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting (BMSB), 2017High quality television services entail more complex systems and higher costs of prototyping, development and testing methods. The concept of Software-Defined Radio, which addresses flexibility and adaptability to new systems as they are researched, is an option to study the behavior of some technologies that will be used in future systems.

A LTE Receiver Framework Using GNU Radio
Journal of Signal Processing Systems, 2015We present an open source LTE receiver framework. Using GNU Radio's block-based signal processing capabilities, various LTE baseband specific functionality has been implemented in dedicated easily reconfigurable blocks. These can be used to decode and analyze arbitrary channels in the LTE downlink signal.

Enhancing GNU Radio with Heterogeneous Computing
Proceedings of the 2015 Workshop on Software Radio Implementation Forum, 2015Software radio system performance can be significantly enhanced with appropriate architectural choices, such as the GNU Radio USRP's division of roles between an FPGA and a general purpose CPU. Heterogeneous architectures provide the most flexibility for achieving high computational performance; yet have not been fully exploited by today's software ...

Realization of Kalman filter in GNU radio
2017 International Conference on Computer Communication and Informatics (ICCCI), 2017The paper develops a basic idea pertaining to Kalman filters. The interest in Kalman filter is motivated by the wide variety of applications it provide. The Kalman filter is an iterative filter which considers a series of measurements (that contains statistical noise) over time, and then estimates the unknown variable.

Novel Framework for Enabling Hardware Acceleration in GNU Radio
2020 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2020GNU Radio (GNUR) allows rapid prototyping of various communication and signal processing (CSP) systems and enables easy integration with software-defined radios (SDRs) for over-the-air testing. Recently, RFNoC (Radio Frequency Network on Chip) tool allows hardware acceleration in GNUR but it is compatible only with high-end SDRs which are expensive and

GNU radio as an experimental platform
Proceedings of the second ACM international workshop on Wireless network testbeds, experimental evaluation and characterization, 2007In this talk, Eric Blossom, founder and maintainer of the GNU Radio project, will present an overview of the current capabilities and applications of GNU Radio. In addition, he will discuss future plans relevant to networking as well as the port of GNU Radio to the Cell Broadband Engine. 30 to 200 GFLOPS makes new things possible!

Remote Triggered Software Defined Radio Using GNU Radio
2017Software-defined radio (SDR), refers to wireless communication in which the transmitter and receiver both are able to modulate signals defined by a computer software. It is the capability of a system to behave as a transceiver and to be configured to various systems with the help data flow graphs on a software.

A GNU radio-based signal detector for cognitive radio systems
2011 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference, 2011This paper deals with the hardware and software architecture of a signal detector prototype. It is able to observe a wide band and to find, in such band, the empty or occupied channels. It is intended to be used either in telecommunication devices or in spectrum monitoring instruments working in the new scenarios of telecommunications, where a flexible

Configure Cognitive Radio using GNU Radio and USRP
2009 3rd IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2009Cognitive Radio (CR) is considered as a potential solution to improve spectrum utilization via opportunistic spectrum implement. Using Software defined Radio (SDR) technology, a flexible radio platform can be potentially configured a Cognitive Engine (CE) to transmit and receive many different incompatible radio standards.
