An Experimental Investigation on the Characteristics of Excavation-Induced Failure of Rocks Surrounding a Shaft

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
A series of true triaxial compression (TTC) tests was conducted on granite specimens to investigate their fracture behavior. The granite was sampled from a 1500-m-deep exploration borehole located on the Sanshandao gold field in Shandong Province, China,

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Research and application of time-varying law of anchoring force of split-set bolt based on field measurement

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science, 2023
Split-set bolt is widely used in supporting stope and roadway surrounding rock in metal mines. The maximum pull-out force generated by the relative slippage between the anchor bolt and the drill hole can serve as an indicator for assessing its anchoring ...

An Ethnography of Entanglements: Mercury’s Presence and Absence in Artisanal and Small-scale Gold-mining in Antioquia, Colombia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This paper describes a ‘follow the thing’ methodology as applied to an ethnography of entanglements. This methodology allowed for a materially and politically nuanced understanding of Antioquia, Colombia’s response to mercury pollution.

Study on Comprehensive Recovery and Utilization of a Low-grade Gold-Copper Ore in Fujian

open access: yesKuangchan zonghe liyong, 2022
A low-grade gold-copper mixed ore in Fujian contains Au 0.36 g/t, Cu 0.29%, Ag 7.4 g/t, S 4.02%. If it is directly cyanidized, copper enters the gold cyanide leaching system, not only cannot be recovered, It will also worsen the gold selection index and ...
