Engineering Pluripotent Stem Cells‐Derived Inner Ear Organoids With Enhanced Maturation and Reproducibility by Micro‐Topographical Cues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐topographical cues applied through temporally controlled microscale confinement improve the reproducibility, spatial organization, and neurosensory‐associated features of pluripotent stem cell‐derived inner ear organoids. Integration with a vascularized organoid platform further enables controlled investigation of vascular‐epithelial interactions

Suitability of red fox (Vulpes vulpes) and golden jackal (Canis aureus) as hosts of Echinococcus multilocularis based on egg production characteristics and literature data on the intestinal ecosystems of carnivores

open access: yesCurrent Research in Parasitology and Vector-Borne Diseases
Echinococcus multilocularis is the most important food-borne parasite in Europe. Its natural definitive host is the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) while other canid species play a secondary role in the maintenance of its endemics.

The Application Of Golden Proportion, Recurring Esthetic Dental Proportion, and Golden Percentage For Maxillary Anterior Teeth In A Group Of Jordanians

open access: yes, 2012
AbstractBackground: Many dental equations had been created to achieve perfect shaped teeth, especially the maxillary anterior ones, which are responsible of dental esthetics. The most investigated equations were the Golden Proportion, Recurring Esthetic Dental proportion (RED), and the Golden Percentage.Aim of The Study: this study aimed to verify the ...

Multilayered Digital Microfluidic Chip for Cell‐Based Assays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A multilayered digital microfluidic (mDMF) chip architecture is introduced to improve throughput and robustness in cell‐based assays. By multilayering electrode components and dielectric layers on glass, this design significantly reduces actuation voltage, maintains reliability, and enables expansion of the operational area with minimum current leakage.

Sustainable Plant‐Based Water Repellent Coatings Using Hydrophobic Pine and Palm Pollen

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A novel formulation strategy for creating superhydrophobic coatings using plant‐derived waxes and chemically treated pine and palm pollen. By employing acid modification, the hydrophobicity of the pollen surface is enhanced, resulting in water contact angles exceeding 150°.

Morphological Characterization of Spherulites in Silk‐Polycaprolactone Mixtures: Implications for Textured Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Blending silk fibroin with polycaprolactone alters crystalline organization and surface morphology. Low fibroin levels promote ring‐banded spherulites, while higher contents generate porous, pit‐like textures, though overall crystallinity remains unchanged. Solvent evaporation further modulates surface patterns.
