Golden Proportion for Maxillofacial Surgery in Orientals
Annals of Plastic Surgery, 1989The facial position and balance of eyes, nose, and mouth in typical Japanese individuals were investigated, based on the golden proportion for each of these relationships. We found that Japanese tend to have a longer upper lip and shorter chin length compared with Caucasians.

K aren Stewart's invitation to deliver today's lecture pleased me. It is flattering to have this responsibility. The enormity of the task and the implications of the effort later awakened the more appropriate emotions of humility and apprehension. Karen has been a special friend and professional colleague for 20 years. We have grown together.

Dental esthetics and the golden proportion
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1978A system of esthetic predictions is described that has been used since antiquity. The naturalness of the system is emphasized by showing examples from nature and how artists and designers use it. The application of this system to dental esthetics is facilitated by the description and inclusion of a dental grid for the anterior esthetic segment.

Golden proportions for the generalized Tribonacci numbers
International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology, 2009It is known that the ratios of consecutive terms of Fibonacci and Tribonacci sequences converge to the fixed ratio. In this article, we consider the generalized form of Tribonacci numbers and derive the 'golden proportion' for the whole family of this generalized sequence.

The Golden Proportion is a particular geometric ratio between two segments. It results in an irrational number, commonly rounded to 1.618, or 0.618, and showing unique geometrical/mathematical properties. Its presence has been documented in a huge amount
