The gomphotheres were recorded in South America from the early Middle Pleistocene (Ensenadan Land-mammal Age) to the latest Pleistocene (Lujanian Land-mammal Age). Mammal fossil remains from San Pedro (Buenos Aires Province, Argentina) are very poorly known. In this paper, best preserved specimens of Equidae and Gomphotheriidae are described. They come from “Campo Spósito” quarry near San Pedro city. The quarry was referred to Lujanian Age, Biozone of Equus (Amerhippus) neogeus.
