The Nuclear Localization of ACLY Guards Early Embryo Development Through Recruiting P300 and HAT1 to Promote Histone Acetylation and Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ACLY is vital for early embryo development. IGF‐1 activates AKT to phosphorylate ACLY, driving its nuclear localization and recruitment of HATs (P300/HAT1), boosting acetyl‐CoA production and histone acetylation for transcriptional activation. Conversely, ACLY deficiency (via knockdown, knockout, or AKT inhibition) reduces nuclear acetyl‐CoA, disrupts ...

Clinical applications of gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues: a broad impact on reproductive medicine

open access: yesF&S Reports, 2023
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is central to the control of the entire hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Manipulation of GnRH, in turn, regulates pituitary response and ovarian hormone production.

Estrous behavior in dairy cows: identification of underlying mechanisms and gene functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Selection in dairy cattle for a higher milk yield has coincided with declined fertility. One of the factors is reduced expression of estrous behavior. Changes in systems that regulate the estrous behavior could be manifested by altered gene expression ...

Semaphorin 3E‐Plexin‐D1 Pathway Downstream of the Luteinizing Hormone Surge Regulates Ovulation, Granulosa Cell Luteinization, and Ovarian Angiogenesis in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Semaphorin 3E (Sema3E)‐Plexin‐D1 pathway mediated by C/EBPα and C/EBPβ downstream of the luteinizing hormone (LH) surge plays important roles in the mouse preovulatory ovary. Timely activation and suppression of this pathway during the preovulatory stage are crucial for ovulation, corpus luteum formation, and proper angiogenesis.

Design Principles of Pancreatic Islets: Glucose-dependent Coordination of Hormone Pulses [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE 11(4):e0152446 (2016), 2015
Pancreatic islets are functional units involved in glucose homeostasis. The multicellular system comprises three main cell types; $\beta$ and $\alpha$ cells reciprocally decrease and increase blood glucose by producing insulin and glucagon pulses, while the role of $\delta$ cells is less clear.

Microtranscriptome regulation by gonadotropin-releasing hormone [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular and Cellular Endocrinology, 2009
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) regulates biosynthesis in the pituitary gonadotrope via a complex signaling and gene network. Small non-coding microRNAs (miRNA) can play important roles in gene expression. We investigated the microtranscriptome in the mouse L?T2 gonadotrope cell line using microarray, single molecule coincidence detection assays,

LRRC4 Deficiency Drives Premature Ovarian Insufficiency by Disrupting Metabolic Homeostasis in Granulosa Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LRRC4 deficiency disrupts the metabolic homeostasis of mitochondrial aerobic respiration and glycolysis during GC differentiation by inhibiting the ubiquitination‐mediated degradation of YAP, which ultimately leads to POI. These findings reveal the novel molecular etiology of POI and provide a promising target for prevention and treatment.

Orlicz hormonic Blaschke addition [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Recently, Gardner, Hug and Weil have introduced the Orlicz-Brunn-Minkowski theory: a general framework, additions, and inequalities. Following this, in the paper we consider Orlicz dual Brunn-Minkowski theory. We introduce Orlicz hormonic Blaschke addition which is an extension of the Lp hormonic Blaschke addition and L p radial Minkowski addition ...

A Splice‐Region Variant Causes an Atypical Presentation of GNAS Inactivation Disorder

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pathogenic variants in GNAS can cause a wide range of diseases including pseudohypoparathyroidism, pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism, McCune‐Albright syndrome, among others. The specific phenotypic features that may be seen are influenced by the variant type and location in the gene, whether it causes loss or gain of function, and whether it is ...
