Surgically confirmed severe endometriosis is associated with lower risk of steatotic liver disease: Evidence of estrogen‐linked hepatic–reproductive crosstalk

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Severe surgically confirmed endometriosis was associated with a lower prevalence of steatotic liver disease than non‐severe disease. Higher estradiol levels may partly explain this inverse hepatic–reproductive association, supporting integrated gynecologic and hepatologic risk assessment.

Intrinsic and Regulated Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Receptor Gene Transcription in Mammalian Pituitary Gonadotrophs

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2017
The hypothalamic decapeptide gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), acting via its receptors (GnRHRs) expressed in pituitary gonadotrophs, represents a critical molecule in control of reproductive functions in all vertebrate species.

Successful outcome of a pregnancy derived from premature ovulation in a gonadotropin‐releasing hormone antagonist protocol: A case report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2021
In the gonadotropin‐releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol, it is necessary to reinforce contraceptive guidance assuming that luteinizing hormone surge is not detected by measurement of serum level and ovulation is not suppressed by GnRH antagonist.

Antisense for gonadotropin-releasing hormone reduces gonadotropin synthesis and gonadal development in transgenic common carp (Cyprinus carpio)

open access: yes, 2007
Generating transgenic fish with desirable traits (e.g., rapid growth, larger size, etc.) for commercial use has been hampered by concerns for biosafety and competition if these fish are released into the environment.

The effect of ovarian stimulation protocol on follicular asynchrony during in vitro fertilization – A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To examine the effect of controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) protocol on follicular synchrony in a subsequent in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle in patients whose previous cycle was canceled due to asynchrony. Methods A single‐center retrospective‐cohort study (January 2018–March 2024), including women undergoing IVF who had: (1) a ...

Applicability of a novel mathematical model for the prediction of adult height and age at menarche in girls with idiopathic central precocious puberty

open access: yesClinics, 2018
OBJECTIVES: Unfavorable predicted adult height and psychosocial inadequacy represent parameters used to guide therapeutic intervention in girls with central precocious puberty. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog is the first-line treatment. The aim of

Ovarian Cancer: Epidemiology, Disease Mechanisms, New Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies, and Research Directions

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ovarian cancer (OC) continues to be the deadliest gynecological malignancy and a significant cause of cancer‐related mortality among women worldwide. Standard treatment strategies typically entail platinum‐based chemotherapy in conjunction with cytoreductive surgery.

The role of Gai in the Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor inhibition of cell proliferation

open access: yes, 2011
Includes abstract.Includes bibliographical references (leaves 72-78).The activation of Gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR) by the GnRH ligand has been shown to mediate antiproliferative effects in extra-pituitary cells and in reproductive ...

Impact of Methylparaben on Cumulus Cell DNA Integrity and Porcine Oocyte Developmental Competence In Vitro

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Parabens (PBs) are compounds widely used as preservatives in personal care products, food, and pharmaceuticals. Methylparaben (MePB) is the most used by different industries due to its chemical properties and low cost. The high daily human exposure to these compounds has raised concerns about their potential effects on health, particularly on ...
