Geophysical responses and possible geothermal mechanism in the Gonghe Basin, China
In Qinghai Province of China, the Gonghe Basin is characterized as a potential hot dry rock (HDR) area due to the high heat flow rate and high-temperature records from several springs and drillings. However, the regional geothermal mechanism is still disputable and then essential to be discussed for the HDR exploration strategy, even for analysis in ...

Analysis and Research on Natural Radioactivity Level of Groundwater in Gonghe Basin
Abstract Groundwater is a crucial resource for human activities, and it is vital to establish criteria for radioactivity in its water quality parameters to ensure sustainable use and protect the health of the surrounding population. In line with the sanitary standards for drinking water and comprehensive discharge standards for sewage, we ...

Game Approach to HDR-TS-PV Hybrid Power System Dispatching
Hot dry rock (HDR) power stations have the potential to serve as an energy storage system for large-scale photovoltaic (PV) plants. For flexible operation, thermal storage (TS) power stations are required to coordinate with HDR power stations.

Predicting the Temperature Field of Hot Dry Rocks by the Seismic Inversion Method
Hot dry rocks, as clean and abundant sources of new energy, are crucial in the restructuring of energy. Predicting the temperature field of hot dry rocks is of great significance for trapping the target areas of hot dry rocks.

We investigate climatic changes of the past 5 decades in the Gonghe Basin by using a wide range of remote sensing data. Era‐5 data is compared with dune migration rates. The dunes' behaviour is very well represented within the ERA‐5 data and shows a slowing migration over the past five decades.

Mode I Microscopic Cracking Process of Granite Considering the Criticality of Failure
Abstract Rock failure under tensile loading conditions is significant for rock engineering stability and underground energy development. However, a comprehensive understanding of the rock cracking process and the corresponding failure pattern at microscale remains unclear.
