Epidemiology of gonorrhoea: a global perspective.

open access: yesSexual Health, 2019
Although understanding the local epidemiology of gonorrhoea is critical for local efforts, understanding the multinational epidemiology may support development of national and international prevention and control policies and strategies.

Gonorrhoea treatment failure caused by a Neisseria gonorrhoeae strain with combined ceftriaxone and high-level azithromycin resistance, England, February 2018

open access: yesEuro surveillance : bulletin Europeen sur les maladies transmissibles = European communicable disease bulletin, 2018
We describe a gonorrhoea case with combined high-level azithromycin resistance and ceftriaxone resistance. In February 2018, a heterosexual male was diagnosed with gonorrhoea in the United Kingdom following sexual intercourse with a locally resident ...

High tetracycline resistance percentages in Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Europe: is doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis unlikely to reduce the incident gonorrhoea cases?

open access: yesThe Lancet Regional Health - Europe
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) remain global public health concerns, and novel interventions to decrease their incidence are essential. In two randomised clinical studies, doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis (doxycycline-PEP) signi fi cantly ...

Graphene‐Based Wearable Textile Triboelectric Nanogenerators and Biomechanical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a wearable textile‐based triboelectric nanogenerator (T‐TENG) using sprayed graphene enhanced with a PVA adhesion layer. The graphene‐based electrode demonstrates high electrical conductivity and robustness to multiple bends. The fabricated T‐TENG provides stable and efficient output, with strong responsiveness to biomotion.

Multimodal Locomotion in Insect‐Inspired Microrobots: A Review of Strategies for Aerial, Surface, Aquatic, and Interfacial Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.
