Gordius digitatus sp. nov. (Fig. 7 D–E) Type material: 13, Holotype: Zoological Museum Hamburg, ZMH V13271. Type locality. Croatia, Plitvice Lakes (Plitvička Jezera) (coll. August 8, 2000 by M. Teiwes). Other material examined. No further material. Etymology. The name refers to the shape of the areoles which interdigitate with each other.

A NEW RACE OF SPHINX GORDIUS (LEPID.)

Differs from typical gordius from the cast in its smaller size and more constrasted maculation, the costa and inner margin of forewing being shaded with deep smoky whilst the central portion of the wing is suffused with whitish shades, especially preceding the wavy subterminal dark line.

No further material. Etymology. The name honours Vladimir Pešić for his enthusiasm in collecting gordiids on the Balkans. Description.
