Impacts of multiple anthropogenic stressors on stream macroinvertebrate community composition and functional diversity. [PDF]
The figure is the conceptual framework of the experiment and expectations. Abstract Ensuring the provision of essential ecosystem services in systems affected by multiple stressors is a key challenge for theoretical and applied ecology. Trait‐based approaches have increasingly been used in multiple‐stressor research in freshwaters because they ...

A new Gordionus Müller, 1927 from Switzerland (Nematomorpha, Gordiidae)
To date only three species of freshwater Nematomorpha (Gordiida) are known from Switzerland. We report here the finding of two further species, the common species Gordionus violaceus (Baird, 1853) and a new species, G. bageli sp. n., in Switzerland.

Diversity, ecology, distribution and biogeography of Diplura
Diplura is the sister group to insects. The order is divided into 10 families, which include 1009 species in 141 genera, with a high proportion of monotypic genera. Diplura depends on high humidity and moderate temperatures, are presumably very sensitive to anthropogenic pressures and climate change, and a suitable model for ecophysiological studies ...
