Complex waves in the Goubau line

2021 XXXIVth General Assembly and Scientific Symposium of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI GASS), 2021
The paper addresses a problem of the TE-wave propagation in the Goubau line. The propagation problem is reduced to a transmission eigenvalue problem for an ordinary differential equation. Spectral parameters of the problem are propagation constants of the waveguide.

New THZ excitation of planar Goubau line

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008
AbstractQuite recently, it has been found that conducting wires lying on a flat dielectric substrate can propagate Terahertz (THz) waves in the same way as conducting wires entirely coated with a dielectric (Goubau line). This phenomenon is interesting because it is a basic requirement to fabricate integrated circuits at THz frequencies. The excitation

Nonlinear TE-waves in nonhomogeneous Goubau Line

2021 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2021
In this work, we study TE-polarized electromagnetic waves propagating in an inhomogeneous dielectric waveguide of circular cross section filled with a medium; the nonlinearity is simulated by Kerr’s law. For the numerical solution of the problem, an iterative algorithm is proposed, and its convergence is proved.
