Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Anticipating data sharing for student‐centred education: Governmental policy initiatives in Switzerland and Japan [PDF]
In the context of digital transformation and platformisation of education, policy concerns are shifting from infrastructure to data use. New governmental initiatives attempt to facilitate data sharing between schools, research and governing authorities ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The Role of Big Data in Transforming Governmental Operations
Big data has the potential to significantly transform governmental operations by enabling more efficient decision-making, improving public services, and increasing transparency. Governments around the world are harnessing the power of big data to optimize resource allocation, enhance public safety, monitor environmental conditions, and improve ...

Mining and Linking Open Economic Data from Governmental Communities [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a model conceptualization (Linked Open Economy - LOE) capable of exploiting the massive amount and variety of open economic data that are gradually becoming available by governments and open source communities. The main aim is to unleash the power of open data and open source systems and create a common ground to serve as a ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
