Fatigue of AM TiAl6V4: Probabilistic Modelling of the Size Influence as a Transfer Method From Test Specimen to Part

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, Volume 49, Issue 11, Page 4586-4606, November 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the fatigue behavior of additively manufactured TiAl6V4 by comparing two specimen geometries with different highly stressed volumes. A fracture mechanical approach based on the El‐Haddad–Smith–Topper model is combined with defect analysis through X‐ray computed tomography.

Accessing proton GPDs in asymmetric frames: Numerical implementation

open access: yes, 2022
In this work, we present a numerical investigation of a novel Lorentz-covariant parametrization to extract $x$-dependent GPDs using off-forward matrix elements of momentum-boosted hadrons coupled to non-local operators.

Balancing d‐π/d‐π* Interactions: Valence‐Engineered Pd/TiO2 for Photocatalytic Acetylene Semi‐Hydrogenation

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Photocatalytic acetylene (C2H2) semihydrogenation is a green route for ethylene (C2H4) production, yet the activity–selectivity trade‐off caused by imbalanced adsorption/activation of reactants and products remains a core challenge. Herein, we realize precise regulation of Pd oxidation states (Pd0, Pdδ+, and Pd2+) on anatase TiO2 nanocubes via

Continuous Versus Routine EEG in Critically Ill Patients Without Primary Neurologic Condition: Analysis of a Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACTIntroductionContinuous EEG (cEEG) is increasingly used in critically ill patients, driven by its superior seizure detection sensitivity over routine EEG (rEEG). However, cEEG is resource‐demanding, and whether its use translates into improved clinical outcomes in patients without primary neurologic conditions remains unknown.MethodsThis is a ...

Extraction of information on transversity GPDs from $\pi^0$ and $\eta$ production on EIC of China

open access: yes, 2023
The General Parton Distributions (GPDs) are applied to study the hard Pseudoscalar Meson Production (PMP) at high energies. The PMP amplitudes are be obtained within the GPDs factorization. They are expressed in terms of GPDs convolution functions, which

Inside the Nucleon: Tomographic Interpretations and Universality of GPDs with DDVCS [PDF]

open access: yes
The goal of Double Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DDVCS) experiments is to better understand the internal structure of the nucleon. Previous attempts to resolve the internal structure of nucleons have resulted in electromagnetic form factors and ...

Return of Research Results to Participants in Longitudinal Cohort Studies in Health Research: Findings From 24 Cohorts of the Amsterdam Cohort Hub

open access: yesHealth Expectations, Volume 29, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Returning research results to participants is increasingly recognised as part of participant‐centred health research. How this is implemented in longitudinal cohort studies is not yet well characterised. This study aims to provide a descriptive overview of current result return practices across diverse cohort studies in the ...

Global Improvement of Tropical Cyclone Representation Enhances Hindcasts of Extreme Sea Levels Over 68 Years

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 17, 16 September 2026.
Abstract The underrepresentation of tropical cyclones (TCs) in state‐of‐the‐art atmospheric reanalyses such as ERA5 is well known, yet their impact on global hindcasts of extreme sea levels remains largely unaddressed. We show that weak TC signals in ERA5 cause severe underestimation, and in some cases near omission, of TC‐induced storm surges.

Study of transversity GPDs from pseudoscalar mesons production at EIC of China

open access: yes, 2022
The exclusive $\eta$ and $\pi^0$ electroproduction is studied in the handbag approach based on Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) factorization. Predictions of $\pi^0$ and $\eta$ mesons are calculated for future Electron-Ion Collider of China (EicC)
