The 2010 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), 2010There is currently a strong push in the research community to develop biological scale implementations of neuron based vision models. Systems at this scale are computationally demanding and have generally utilized more accurate neuron models, such as the Izhikevich and Hodgkin- Huxley models, in favor of the integrate and fire model.

Fourier Volume Rendering on GPGPU
2009Fourier Volume Rendering (FVR) is a volume rendering technique with lower computational complexity of O(N 2 logN) for an N 3 data array. A new FVR algorithm is proposed through expanding Fourier Projection-Slice Theorem into High-Dimension and mapping the pipeline totally on GPU.
