The Global Patterns of Interannual and Intraseasonal Mass Variations in the Oceans from GRACE and GRACE Follow-On Records

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
We decompose the monthly global ocean bottom pressure (OBP) from GRACE(-FO) mass concentration solutions, with trends and seasonal harmonics removed from the signal, to extract 23 significant regional modes of variability.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

A new laser-ranged satellite for General Relativity and space geodesy: I. An introduction to the LARES2 space experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We introduce the LARES 2 space experiment recently approved by the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The LARES 2 satellite is planned for launch in 2019 with the new VEGA C launch vehicle of ASI, ESA and ELV.

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

A Probabilistic Approach to Characterizing Drought Using Satellite Gravimetry

open access: yesWater Resources Research
In the recent past, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite mission and its successor GRACE Follow‐On (GRACE‐FO), have become invaluable tools for characterizing drought through measurements of Total Water Storage Anomaly (TWSA ...

Spatiotemporal Variations and Sustainability Characteristics of Groundwater Storage in North China from 2002 to 2022 Revealed by GRACE/GRACE Follow-On and Multiple Hydrologic Data

open access: yesRemote Sensing
North China (NC) is experiencing significant groundwater depletion. We used GRACE and GRACE-FO RL06 Level-2 data with Mascon data from April 2002 to July 2022. We fused these two types of data through the generalized three-cornered hat method and further

ST2 in Stable and Unstable Ischemic Heart Diseases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Circulating suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (ST2) predicts cardiovascular outcomes and mortality in ischemic heart disease (IHD). ST2 does not correlate with traditional risk indicators as closely as N-terminal pro–brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP ...

Exploring Thermospheric Variations Triggered by Severe Geomagnetic Storm on 26 August 2018 Using GRACE Follow‐On Data

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 2020
With the successful launch of the satellite mission Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) Follow‐On in May 2018 the opportunity arises to resume the analysis of accelerometer data regarding space weather induced perturbations of the Earth's ...

Correlation analysis of field-aligned currents from the magnetic measurements of GRACE follow-on mission

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2021
In this study we performed a detailed analysis on the scale-size of field-aligned currents (FACs) at auroral latitudes, using the well-calibrated magnetic data from the non-dedicated magnetic field mission, Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow ...
