Let E be a vector space and G be an abelian group. Suppose that a direct decomposition $$E = \sum\nolimits_{\alpha \in I} {{E_\alpha }} $$ (6.1) is given and that to every subspace E α an element k(α) of G is assigned such that the mapping a→k((x) is injective. Then E is called a G-graded vector space.

A Dyadic Operator for the Gradation of Desirability
2010We propose a normal modal deontic logic based on a dyadic operator, similar in structure to the temporal "until". By bringing significant expressiveness to the logic, it allows both the denition of a monadic desirability operator similar to the SDL obligation, and the expression of the relative level of desirability of target formulae.

This paper focuses on some effects and possible causes in the concatenation of two micro-developments undergone by words like rather. While the first one maps its semantics from an original temporal-based comparison to modal meanings, the second takes it from modal ordering to the modification of gradable predicates.
