Data-based selection of creep constitutive models for high-Cr heat-resistant steel

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2020
There are two types of creep constitutive equation, one with a steady-state term (steady-state type) and the other with no steady-state term (non-steady-state type).

Temperature dependence of creep rupture life of long-term serviced Grade 91 steel

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials
A series of creep tests, which include those under actual service conditions of ultra-super-critical power plants, have been carried out on long-term serviced Grade 91 steels to investigate the temperature dependence of the remaining creep life of the ...

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Review of Creep Cavitation and Rupture of Low Cr Alloy and its Weldment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a review of creep cavitation and rupture of low Cr alloy and its weldment, particular in the heat-affected zone (HAZ). Creep damage is one of the serious problems for the high temperature industry.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Linking performance of parent Grade 91 steel to the cross-weld creep performance using feature type tests [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Grade 91 steel has been widely utilized in power plants over the last 20 years. Its specification worldwide has dramatically increased since the acceptance of Code Case 1943 for this material in 1983.

The Early Morphological Development of the Near Surface Region of Pickled Grade 91 Tubing Exposed to Steam and Its Long Term Implications

open access: yesMetals, 2016
To improve intra-laboratory consistency and experimental repeatability during high temperature oxidation testing, metallic coupons undergo a standardised surface preparation.

Assessment of effect of miniature sample scoop on creep life of 9Cr steel piping

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2020
The effect of taking a miniature sample scoop on the creep life of ASME Grade 91 (9Cr steel) piping was experimentally assessed. Internal pressure tests were conducted at 650oC on tubular specimens of virgin and long-term used 9Cr steels having scoop on ...

Unified Viscoplastic Model Coupled With Damage for Evaluation of Creep-Fatigue of Grade 91 Steel

open access: yes, 2017
A continuum damage mechanics (CDM) coupled unified viscoplasticity model has been developed to predict the creep-fatigue life of modified Grade 91 steel. A tertiary creep model termed MPC-Omega codified in Part 10 of API (and also implemented in the ASME

Microstructural features contributing to heat affected zone damage in grade 91 steel feature type cross-weld tests [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Grade 91 steel has been widely utilized in power plants over the last 20 years. Its specification for worldwide power plant construction has dramatically increased since the acceptance of Code Case 1943 for this material in 1983.
