OWPL: A Gradual Approach for Software Process Improvement In SMEs

32nd EUROMICRO Conference on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (EUROMICRO'06), 2006
This paper describes an experience with a Software Process Improvement (SPI) approach particularly adapted to small structures with low software maturity level (e.g. small and medium enterprises in software businesses, small software teams in bigger businesses, small software teams in public organisations). A characterisation of Software Process in-the-

Optimistic Arithmetic Operators for Fuzzy and Gradual Intervals - Part II: Fuzzy and Gradual Interval Approach

open access: yes, 2010
This part aims at extending the proposed interval operators detailed in the Part I to fuzzy and gradual intervals. Recently, gradual numbers have been introduced as a means of extending standard interval computation methods to fuzzy and gradual intervals.

A Constraint-based Approach for Enumerating Gradual Itemsets

open access: yes2021 IEEE 33rd International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence (ICTAI), 2021
International audienceGradual itemsets model complex attributes covariations of the form the more or less is A, the more or less is B. Recently, such kind of itemsets has received great attention over the last years, and several proposals have been ...

Momentum Under a Gradual Approach to Zero Growth

Population Studies, 1998
A population's growth potential is significantly underestimated by conventional calculations of population momentum which assume an immediate drop to replacement level fertility. Here we assume that the growth rate of births linearly declines to zero over a specified time interval, and find simple and intuitively meaningful expressions for the size of ...

AN ALTERNATIVE APPROACH TO DISCOVER GRADUAL DEPENDENCIES

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2007
In this paper we propose a new definition of gradual dependence as a special kind of association rule. We propose a way to adapt existing association rule mining algorithms for the new task of mining such dependencies, and we discuss about its complexity. Some experiments in a real database illustrate the usefulness of the approach.
