Gradual program verification [PDF]
Both static and dynamic program verification approaches have significant disadvantages when considered in isolation. Inspired by research on gradual typing, we propose gradual verification to seamlessly and flexibly combine static and dynamic ...

Extracting frequent gradual patterns based on SAT
International audienceThis paper proposes a constraint-based modeling approach for mining frequent gradual patterns from numerical data. Our declarative approach provides a principle way to take advantage of recent advancements in satisfiability testing ...

A Novel Approach for Fault Detection in Integrated Navigation Systems
Detecting subsystem faults quickly is critical to the accuracy and reliability of integrated navigation systems. This paper, therefore, proposes an effective approach based on the novel test statistic to detect faults.

The Fragmented Evolution of Racial Integration since the Civil Rights Movement
We argue that existing studies underestimate the degree to which racial change leads to residential segregation in post-Civil Rights American neighborhoods. This is because previous studies only measure the presence of racial groups in neighborhoods, not

DNN-driven Gradual Machine Learning for Aspect-term Sentiment Analysis
Recent work has shown that Aspect-Term Sentiment Analysis (ATSA) can be performed by Gradual Machine Learning (GML), which begins with some automatically labeled easy instances, and then gradually labels more challenging instances by iterative factor ...

A Gradual Approach to a More Trustworthy, Yet Scalable, Proof-Carrying Code
Proof-carrying code (PCC) allows a code producer to associate to a program a machine-checkable proof of its safety. In the original approach to PCC, the safety policy includes proof rules which determine how various actions are to be proved safe.

Population momentum for gradual demographic transitions: an alternative approach [PDF]
Abstract In this article, I derive a simple formula for approximating the ultimate size of a population that undergoes a gradual transition to replacement fertility. I model the fertility transition by specifying a linear frontier on the Lexis surface across which a change in fertility is instantaneous.
