FSTL1 Orchestrates Metabolic‐Epigenetic Crosstalk: Glycolysis‐Dependent H3K18 Lactylation Drives Cartilage Fibrosis in Osteoarthritis
Advanced Science, EarlyView.FSTL1 promotes glycolysis during chondrocyte fibrosis by triggering the HIF‐1 signaling pathway, which causes lactate to accumulate. The buildup of lactate leads to changes in histone lysine lactylation, which in turn enhances the expression of genes associated with fibrosis.Feng Lu, Yunyuan Yu, Guangrong Yin, Huiqun Hu, Shishuo Li, Yuting Tang, Yimin Liu, Maoyuan Li, Liang liang Wang, Chao Xu, Gongyin Zhao, Baojun Zhou, Yuji Wang +12 morewiley +1 more sourceRapid Decentralized Prostate Cancer Risk Stratification by Portable Liquid Biopsy Analysis within a Clinical Biosensor Validation Framework
Advanced Science, EarlyView. In this work, we showcased two significant scientific advances in (i) developing a portable biosensor technology for rapid decentralized prostate cancer urinary biomarker testing and reporting, with superior performance to current clinical testing practice; and (ii) proposing a clinical validation framework (for our biosensor development) which can be ...Kevin M. Advanced Science, EarlyView.Wang et al reveal that in the olfactory system, the selective impairment of gamma‐driven Barcode features underlying early olfactory deficits, while the selective impairment of theta‐driven Barcode features underlying later cognitive deficits, further establishing cross‐network gamma oscillations in the early stage as a biomarker of later cognitive ...Shuaishuai Wang, Zhishen Cai, Xingfeng Mao, Yixuan Zhang, Yunlong Pan, Jiawen Cheng, Xuechun Wang, Hengyi Song, Sasaki Takuya, Ming Lu, Gang Hu, Xiuxiu Liu, Yingmei Lu, Feng Han +13 morewiley +1 more sourceThe Mitochondrial Guardian α‐Amyrin Mitigates Alzheimer's Disease Pathology via Modulation of the DLK‐SARM1‐ULK1 Axis
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Dietary habits play a key role in chronic diseases, and higher annual consumption of fruit and vegetable may lower risk of dementia. Artificial intelligence predicts the lipid‐like compound α‐Amyrin (αA) from plants with edible peels as a drug candidate against Alzheimer's disease.Shu‐Qin Cao, Juan Ignacio Jiménez‐Loygorri, Yunguang Qiu, You Jung Kang, Khanh Van Do, Annabel E.
