Self‐Immolative Poly(Benzyl Ether)s: Design Principles and Controlled Depolymerization
Unzipping to Sustainability: This Concept article explores the thermodynamic design of quinone‐methide (QM)‐based poly(benzyl ether)s (PBEs). It explains how a low ceiling temperature (Tc), QM stability, and an entropic gain drive rapid depolymerization (“unzipping”) of PBEs into monomers.
