Instant determination of the potential biomarker heparan sulfate in human plasma by a mix-and-read fluorescence assay [PDF]
Heparan sulfate (HS) is a linear, polydisperse sulfated polysaccharide belonging to the glycosaminoglycan family. HS proteoglycans are ubiquitously found at the cell surface and extracellular matrix in animal species. HS is involved in the interaction with a wide variety of proteins and the regulation of many biological activities.

Multiple species animal movements: network properties, disease dynamic and the impact of targeted control actions [PDF]
Infectious diseases in livestock are well-known to infect multiple hosts and persist through the combination of within- and between-host transmission pathways. Uncertainty remains about the epidemic consequences of the disease being introduced on farms with more than one susceptible host.

The Genotype of the Donor for the (GT)n Polymorphism in the Promoter/Enhancer of FOXP3 Is Associated with the Development of Severe Acute GVHD but Does Not Affect the GVL Effect after Myeloablative HLA-Identical Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation [PDF]
The FOXP3 gene encodes for a protein (Foxp3) involved in the development and functional activity of regulatory T cells (CD4+/CD25+/Foxp3+), which exert regulatory and suppressive roles over the immune system.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Broadening of coreceptor usage by human immunodeficiency virus type 2 does not correlate with increased pathogenicity in an in vivo model. [PDF]
The pathogenic properties of four primary human immunodeficiency virus type 2 (HIV-2) isolates and two primary HIV-2 biological clones were studied in an in vivo human-to-mouse chimeric model.

Progress and Application of Multifunctional Hydrogel in Radioactive Skin Injury
This review examines healing challenges in radiation‐wound injuries, where ionizing radiation impairs immune and tissue repair processes. Hydrogels, with their biocompatibility, antimicrobial properties, and drug delivery capabilities, present a transformative solution. It compares hydrogel efficacy in radiation‐induced versus common wounds, highlights

The combination of sirolimus plus tacrolimus improves outcome after reduced-intensity conditioning, unrelated donor hematopoietic stem cell transplantation compared with cyclosporine plus mycofenolate [PDF]
Different types of graft-versus-host disease prophylaxis have been proposed in the setting of reduced intensity and non-myeloablative allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
