Grail suppresses stress-induced apoptosis and colony formation in oral cancer cells
Aims: The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of Grail in stress-induced apoptosis and tumorigenesis in oral cancer cells. Subjects and Methods: We analyzed gene expression of Grail in oral cancer cell lines (KB, SAS, SCC-4, and SCC-25 ...

E3 ubiquitin ligase Grail promotes hepatic steatosis through Sirt1 inhibition
In obese adults, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is accompanied by multiple metabolic dysfunctions. Although upregulated hepatic fatty acid synthesis has been identified as a crucial mediator of NAFLD development, the underlying mechanisms are ...

NK Cell Induced T Cell Anergy Depends on GRAIL Expression
NK cells (natural killer cells) being a part of the innate immune system have been shown to be involved in immunoregulation of autoimmune diseases. Previously we have shown that HINT1/Hsp70 treatment induced regulatory NK cells ameliorating experimental ...

How GRAIL controls Treg function to maintain self-tolerance
Regulatory T cells (Tregs) normally maintain self-tolerance. Tregs recognize “self” such that when they are not working properly, such as in autoimmunity, the immune system can attack and destroy one’s own tissues. Current therapies for autoimmunity rely

Achieving high‐efficiency deep‐blue phosphorescent OLEDs is limited by intermolecular kinetic bottlenecks. We overcome this using a single‐molecule fused emitter architecture, Pt‐SP‐tCz, combining a p‐type host and Pt(II) dopant. This design enables zero‐radius intramolecular energy transfer (ZRIET) and a novel ZETPLEX mechanism.
