Grain size, grain number per panicle, and grain weight are key agronomic traits that determine grain yield in rice. However, the molecular mechanisms coordinately controlling these traits remain largely unknown.

Today wheat cultivation is facing rapidly changing climate scenarios and yield instability, aggravated by the spreading of severe diseases such as Fusarium head blight (FHB) and Fusarium crown rot (FCR). To obtain productive genotypes resilient to stress

Natural variation in MORE GRAINS 1 regulates grain number and grain weight in rice
ABSTRACTGrain yield is determined mainly by grain number and grain weight. In this study, we identified and characterized MORE GRAINS1 (MOG1), a gene associated with grain number and grain weight in rice (Oryza sativa L.), through map‐based cloning. Overexpression of MOG1 increased grain yield by 18.6%–22.3% under field conditions.

Dissecting the trade-off of grain number and size in wheat
Principal component and meta-QTL analyses identified genetic loci affecting the trade-off of wheat grain number and size, which could provide opportunities to optimize local breeding strategies for further yield improvement. Grain yield of wheat is complex, and its physiological and genetic bases remain largely unknown.

Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Genetic Dissection of Grain Size and Grain Number Trade-Offs in CIMMYT Wheat Germplasm
Grain weight (GW) and number per unit area of land (GN) are the primary components of grain yield in wheat. In segregating populations both yield components often show a negative correlation among themselves. Here we use a recombinant doubled haploid population of 105 individuals developed from the CIMMYT varieties Weebill and Bacanora to understand ...

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory demyelinating syndromes, including multiple sclerosis (MS), aquaporin‐4 antibody–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4 + NMOSD), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), occasionally overlap.

Inflorescence structure affects final grain yield (GY) in wheat (Triticum aestivum L). Recent breeding efforts have focused on improving grain number per spike, which is positively correlated with GY. Grain Number Increase 1 (GNI-A1) encodes a homeodomain leucine zipper class I (HD-Zip I) transcription factor that controls the number of grains per ...

ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.
