Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Effect of Integrated Application of Azotobacter chroococcum and Azospirillum brasilense and Nitrogen Chemical Fertilizers on Qualitative and Quantitative of Durum Wheat [PDF]
To study the effect of plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPR) and mineral nitrogen fertilizer on yield and yield components of three durum wheat cultivars, an experiment was conducted as a split factorial based on randomized complete block design with ...

Grain yield and grain yield components of fodder pea depending on leaf type
A three-year small-plot trial (2000-2002) was established at the Rimski Šančevi Experiment Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad to study pea genotypes with common and afila-type leaves. Used in the trial were three common cultivars (Javor, Tyrkys and Accord) and three afila-type ones (Jezero, Consort and Harmony). The highest

Extended grain filling has potential to improve yield in grain sorghum
Abstract Yield increase in sorghum has been achieved primarily by increasing grain number. Scope exists to increase yield by increasing grain size; however, this has been limited by the negative correlation between grain size and grain number. Extending the duration of the grain-filling period has potential to enable increased grain size

Nickel‐based alloys are widely used in high‐temperature applications due to their excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance. However, properties such as high‐temperature strength and pronounced work‐hardening make them difficult to machine.

WHEAT YIELD RESPONSE TO CHANGES IN PRODUCTION PRACTICES INDUCED BY PROGRAM PROVISION [PDF]
From 1986 to 1995 the Oklahoma five-year moving average wheat grain yield declined from 32.6 to 26.7 bu./ac. This study was conducted to determine why the state average wheat yield declined.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...

Influence of Thresher Cylinder Speed and Grain Moisture at Harvest on Milling Yield of Rice [PDF]
The percentage of broken rice (Oryza sativa) kernels was determined after threshing the grain at varying cylinder speeds of the thresher and moisture contents of the grain at harvest. Moisture contents of the individual grain samples ranged from 12 to 26%
