Survey of the use of the singular and plural with Greek words for grain. The original plural gives way to the singular in the course of the Hellenistic period, but the plural reappears in the later Roman period for barley, whereas wheat, for which σῖτος is then used rather than πυρός, occurs in the singular.

This study examined the impact of human disturbances on arboreal and terrestrial fruit‐consuming vertebrate assemblages across three tropical forest sites in French Guiana. While species richness remained consistent across sites, results revealed significant variations in visitation rates and a shift in dominant species.
