Association of Seedling Vigour and Salinity Tolerance in Field Pea
Soil salinity results in reduced productivity in field peas, making soil salinity tolerance a critical breeding objective. In this study, four pot experiments were carried out in semi-controlled environments over four consecutive years to assess the ...

Millimeter-sized grains in the protostellar envelopes: where do they come from?
Grain growth during star formation affects the physical and chemical processes in the evolution of star-forming clouds. We investigate the origin of the millimeter (mm)-sized grains recently observed in Class I protostellar envelopes.

Growing dust grains in protoplanetary discs - II. The Radial drift barrier problem [PDF]
We aim to study the migration of growing dust grains in protoplanetary discs, where growth and migration are tightly coupled. This includes the crucial issue of the radial-drift barrier for growing dust grains.

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.
