Experimental study on the migration of fine grains with seepage in a soil layer
A device for modeling the erosion and re-deposition of fine grains in the soil layer by artificial rainfall was designed. Through experiments, the effects of rainfall intensity and soil thickness on the migration of fine grains were investigated.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Grower representation and its impact on the governance structure of the Australian Grains Industry
The Australian wheat industry has changed considerably in structure and governance during the past 15 years. The most important changes have been the deregulation of the domestic market and privitisation of the former Australian Wheat Board into AWB ...

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Renormalization group approach on nanostructured systems
The electronic spectra of one-dimensional nanostructured systems are calculated within the pure hopping model on the tight-binding Hamiltonian. By means of the renormalization group Green's function method, the dependence of the density of states on the ...

Quinoa (Chenopodium Quinoa Willd.) is a highly nutritious source of grains
The main objective of this paper is the chemical evaluation of quinoa seeds (Chenopodium quinoa wild). The chemical composition, mineral content, active compounds (polyphenols, flavonoids, and tocopherols), vitamins, amino acids, and fatty acids of ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Bringing Equity to Coarse and Fine-Grained Provider Groups in Recommender Systems
Provider fairness aims at regulating the recommendation lists, so that the items of different providers/provider groups are suggested by respecting notions of equity. When group fairness is among the goals of a system, a common way is to use coarse groups since the number of considered provider groups is usually small (e.g., two genders, or three/four ...
