Global distributed evolution of L-systems fractals [PDF]
Internet based parallel genetic programming (GP) creates fractal patterns like Koch’s snow flake. Pfeiffer, http://www.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/W.Langdon/pfeiffer.html, by analogy with seed/embryo development, uses Lindenmayer grammars and LOGO style ...

On the Locality of Grammatical Evolution [PDF]
This paper investigates the locality of the genotype-phenotype mapping (representation) used in grammatical evolution (GE). The results show that the representation used in GE has problems with locality as many neighboring genotypes do not correspond to neighboring phenotypes.

A Study of the evolution of prefixal verbs in Dibaji dialect from the perspective of grammaticalization [PDF]
The aim of the present study is to examine the historical evolution of the prefixal verbs in Dibaji dialect. One of the important factors in the evolution process of languages is grammaticalization, in which lexical categories become grammatical ...

Christiansen Grammar Evolution: Grammatical Evolution With Semantics [PDF]
This paper describes Christiansen grammar evolution (CGE), a new evolutionary automatic programming algorithm that extends standard grammar evolution (GE) by replacing context-free grammars by Christiansen grammars. GE only takes into account syntactic restrictions to generate valid individuals.
