The hydraulic properties of fractured Westerly granite
Understanding fluid flow within the Earth’s crust is crucial for advancing our knowledge of geohazards, such as earthquakes, and efficiently harnessing resources hosted in the subsurface, such as geothermal energy. The continental crust at depth is predominantly granitic in composition, therefore the study of crystalline rock provides a good basis for ...openaire +1 more source

Acoustic Character Of Hydraulic Fractures In Granite
1983Hydraulic fractures in homogeneous granitic rocks were logged with conventional acoustic-transit-time, acoustic-waveform, and acoustic-televiewer logging systems. Fractured intervals ranged in depth from 45 to 570m. and logs were made both before and after the fractures were induced.
